Overview
The developers of Real Time Gaming – or RTG for short – entered the Online Casino Market as early as 1998, making them one of the first software providers to ‘go online' and are as such somewhat of a pioneer in that field. Real time casino. They have around 300+ Games, most of which are Video Slots, offer a Mobile platform, and advertise Live Casino Games – i personally haven't found any, so assume those are only available in the Asian market. Their Games can be integrated into an existing platform (such as a Sportsbook, or any Multiplatform Casino Suite), or delivered as a Fully Integrated Download/Instant Play Casino, and in most cases you'll find the latter: somehow there aren't many Casinos with mixed software, that offer RTG Games as well.
Aside from the above, they also develop Land based Kiosk devices, and have a sister company facing the Asian Market, which was launched in 2006. The Mobile Gaming Lobby is pretty advanced, and i personally found them to offer one of the smoothest and most fluid software experiences available to date, but that is more or less their only perk. They only recently started to develop some new and interesting Slots again, after a long period of cloning, which is a shame. And despite the fact that their Games are pretty wide-spread (you'll currently find them in around 100 Online Casinos), they don't really have a good reputation.
The problem with most of their licensees, is that they are almost all represented in a weak (to say the least) Jurisdiction, which directly influences the fact, that historically, most of the infamous Rogue Casino‘s were RTG powered ones. You can read all about that on the the Casinomeister forums, and if you check the Accredited list, you'll notice there are only a handful of RTG Casinos present.
The other side of that coin (weak Jurisdiction) meant that despite the UIGEA affair, the RTG powered licensees were allowed to keep offering their Games to USA players, and for long was about the only Casino software available to them, so they did have a steady market there. Now that that market has been opening up again – and Proper Licensing and Responsible Gaming is becoming more and more important, worldwide – we will probably see more Multiplatform Casinos adopting RTG games, and less ‘cup-‘o-cacao' (Curacao License) Stand Alone RTG's, to get with the times, so to speak.
RTG Games
RTG does offer a lot of Slots, and one good thing about those, is that pretty much all of them have one or two Progressive Jackpots added to the mix. Whatever the Theme, or the Bonus Mechanism be, this means there is an additional prize to win. About 150 of their Slots are very similar to each other though – a lot of the Bonus Mechanisms are cloned, or slightly altered, then just fitted with a new theme – and that can get a bit boring. It seems that is something that is unavoidable when Software Companies keep growing, and feel the need to chuck out a few new slots a year, just to reflect their growing Market-share, They do have quite a few entertaining ones, and there is certainly a large enough fan-base for their products, or they wouldn't be here anymore.
Quiero ver juegos gratis. Aside from Slots, they have a decent amount of Video Poker variants, and all the necessary Table Games you'd expect, such as Baccarat, Red Dog, Roulette, etc. Their Keno, although graphically not superior, is fast, and can be played for as little as 0.01 cent per game, which is fun for low rollers. Their Bingo Games are also quite decent, as are their Scratchcards. Crappy cupcake ninja mac os.
Some of their best known/most popular Games are:
- Fruit Frenzy
- Achilles
- Aztec's Treasure
- Aztec's Millions
- Ronin
- Jackpot Pinatas
- The Three Stooges
- Naughty Or Nice
- Paydirt
- Ritchie Valens Slot
- Triple Twister
Additional Info
RTG do have a few advantages from an Operator's point of view: as stated above, they offer complete software solutions, with an extensive back-end and Affiliate Marketing tools, and offer full assistance on Licensing, Player Support, Hosting, Processing and more. They also have Tournaments – which most players appreciate – and a few ‘Life Changing Jackpots' in their offering.
Pros
- Slick Mobile Gaming Experience with a fair amount of Games
- Also caters to U.S.A. Players
- Great software for low rollers - bets as low as 0.01 in Keno and Slots
Cons
- Kind of a bad rep, as they are associated with a lot of the most infamous Rogue Operators out there
- An overall weak Licensing Jurisdiction
- Not much variety in the bulk of their Slots

Casinomeister's Verdict
Real Time Gaming Ringmaster casino instant play. and I go way back. In fact, besides Microgaming, these guys were one of the first software guys I was in contact with concerning player complaints. We met for the first time in Vegas at the first G2E in October 2001 – we had a nice lunch together, and this established our relationship which was pretty good.
The thing is, this software provider always maintained that they were the 'software provider' – not much more. I, on the other, have always been adamant that software providers are rogue enablers if their clients are cheating their customers. Software providers also get a bad rap (reputation) if their clients are dodgy or rogue. Well I guess that over the years, the lure and profitability of grey markets has overridden the need to keep their licensees squeaky clean. This is the polar opposite of Microgaming for its download/viper clients. MGS will step in if needed.
List Of Rtg Casinos
RTG casinos are not limited to jurisdiction limitations unless these are made by the casinos' jurisdiction – unlike MGS, Netent, NYX, Playtech, etc. that prohibit players from the US or Australia. RTG casinos can take just about anyone – it is up to the operator.
This can prove to be problematic since on more than one occasion I have made general warnings about all RTG casinos because they lacked a safety net for players. It wasn't until 2004 did I take the first RTG casino as an accredited casino – iNetBet. It was up to the operators to prove themselves – I could not rely on the software supplier or jurisdictions to protect anyone. So we eventually brought on a handful of RTG casinos – besides iNetBet, there was Intertops and the original Club World group. iNetBet and Intertops are still here (along with their related casinos like Jackpot Capital, etc.), Club World was switched out with CasinoMax – the original operator and staff of CWC.
RTG did step in once – which I give them credit for, it was the infamous case of the PirateofC21 vs Hampton casino: RTG's Caribbean 21 Lie. This is where a player had won $1.2 million, but the casino claimed he was using a bot and cancelled his winnings. In fact, the casino even recorded the player over the phone confessing to using a bot (I heard the confession -t's even posted in that thread I think), so I originally ruled against the player. But he denied it 100% – and said he only confessed because he had no idea what to do. Actually, you should really read that thread since it gets pretty good. The player denies it – I side with him, but then the operator comes in and states that RTG software tracks your mouse movements and can tell if you are using a bot or not. (???) That's when RTG stepped in and said enough lies already – RTG software cannot do that – pay the player. Hell, even MSNBC picked up on it. MSNBC interviews Casinomeister .
Those were some crazy times – unfortunately, there still are some dodgy operators who would do the same thing if they could get away with it. Eighteen years after my nice lunch with the CEO in Vegas – things haven't changed too much. They do have some pretty good games (Aztec Treasure, Rain Dance, and Crystal Waters are a few of my old time favorites). But it's always 'caveat emptor' with RTG casinos.
